Random Number Generator

Generate random numbers with a cryptographically secure RNG or a seeded PRNG for reproducible runs. Draw uniform integers or decimals, normally or exponentially distributed values, or weighted choices, with uniqueness and sorting options, a histogram and sum/mean/median/min/max/std-dev stats. Roll dice with standard notation (3d6+2, 4d6kh3, d100) and see every die, flip coins with streak stats, and shuffle or pick winners from a pasted list — raffle mode removes winners from later draws. Copy results as text, JSON or CSV.

How to use Random Number Generator

  1. 1Pick a tab: Numbers, Dice, Coins or Shuffle / pick.
  2. 2For numbers, choose the distribution and range or parameters, plus unique/sorted options.
  3. 3For dice, type notation such as 3d6+2 or 4d6kh3; for lists, paste entries and click Pick or Shuffle.
  4. 4Read the histogram and stats, then copy as text, JSON or CSV. ⌘/Ctrl+Enter regenerates.

Frequently asked questions

By default, yes: values come from `crypto.getRandomValues` with rejection sampling, so there is no modulo bias. Turning on "Seeded" switches to mulberry32, a deterministic PRNG meant for fixtures and tests, not for anything security-related.
